3rd State Level Exhibition (PMEGP) Inaugrated by Rajya Sabha MP Maharaj Leishemba Sanajaoba
3rd State Level Exhibition (PMEGP) organised by Manipur Khadi & Village Industries Board under the sponsorship of Khadi and Village Industries, Ministry of MSME commenced from Friday at Hapta Kangjeibung, here, with Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba inaugurating the programme.
The inaugural programme was also attended by Board chairman N Nimbus Singh as the functional president while vice chairman W Dineshchandra Singh, Trade, Commerce & Industries director Yumnam Robita and Khadi and Village Industries Commission director ASS Dewan were the guests of honour.
In his address, Leishemba Sanajaoba stressed on the power of local products and the magic in the fingers of local artisans, craftsman and weavers.
He urged the people to support local products which will in turn help empowering local entrepreneurs while also advising people to adopt the habit of timely repayment of PMEGP loans.
During the programme, ASS Dewan elaborated on the role PMEGP plays in empowering the local entrepreneurs while N Nimbus appealed to people of Manipur to witness the display of local products at the exhibition.
More than 80 handicrafts stalls are being opened at the exhibition.
